The Committee
The Exeter Spitfires Committee is elected each year at our AGM, usually held in October. The Committee meets regularly throughout the year to discuss any problems or issues and to plan and implement the clubs long term goals for future growth. The committee comprises of 4 management roles; Chairperson, Treasurer, Secretary and Membership Secretary. The remaining club officers are there to represent the players, provide support and hold the management committee to account, ensuring they acting in accordance with the club aims and constitution.
Club members are encouraged to approach any members of the committee if they have any concerns, questions or quieries they would like to raise. Or they can email info@exeterspitfires.co.uk
Angela fills two important roles for the club; Chairperson and token American! Although she cannot play anymore Angela has been helping out any way she can since discovering the club. She can normally be found on a matchday helping to score.
Angela was elected as chairperson in October 2014 having previously served on the committee and has the job of keeping the rest of us in line.
Matthew Cousins - Chairperson & Treasurer
Matthew was elected as chairperson in September 2024 following on from the incredible work done by 00 previously.
Working tirelessly for the progression of the sport and the club, he has managed to secure the new field and funding to enable the growth of the Spitfires
Charlotte Crews - Club Direction Officer
Charlotte joined the Spitfires in 2022 and rapidly shown her ability and enthusiasm to promote and improve the club.

As a rookie catcher, she has improved on the field and staked a claim on the starting line up. Off the field, she has almost single handily organised the WBL Women's day which was a huge success. Moving forward, Charlotte will provide the professional edge that a club of this standing will need to develop and grow
Steven Crane - Treasurer
Steven has been a passionate baseball fan for many years (but not enough years to see his beloved Chicago Cubs win the world series!) Steven was elected as the club treasurer in October 2013.
As well as his duties as club treasurer Steven can often be found behind the plate at home games calling strikes.

George Andrews - Safeguarding Officer
George was part of the team that reformed the Spitfires back in 2012, having previously been playing for Plymouth that year and Leicester Blue Sox before that. George has been club secretary since the club reformed. He took over as manager in 2014 and became the club safe guarding officer in 2016.
George is a level 1 coach and when he is not busy with baseball enjoys running marathons, triathlons and is a leader with Second Exeter Scouts.
Ella George - Social Sec
Ella has stepped up to the role of trying to organise the team to all be at the same time at the same place! This is often made easier by the promise of a drink or some entertainment
Joe Daniels - Social Media
Joe has taken our social media to a new level, and the interactions have soared.
As well as being great for our exposure, it also allows to access new revenue streams
